A rounded Yemeni agate, polished nearly flat across its face, with a glowing orange-red heart that darkens to plum at the edges. Along one side, islands of green moss ringed in cream rise out of the red, the kind of scene the market calls Musawwar.
The stone sits in a crown of overlapping silver petals, their outer wall finely line-engraved. The shank is the surprise: a sculpted open band in bright silver whose forms recall flowing Arabic letters.
A ring for someone who prefers the unexpected, in stone and in silver.
