A large, high-domed oval of Yemeni agate in a deep plum red, the colour the market calls Rummani, after the pomegranate. The stone is even and calm, and the light glows through its edges.
The sterling silver mount holds it in a clean polished bezel finished with a fine beaded line. On each shoulder a vine of leaves and scrolls rises in bright relief from a darkened ground and follows the band.
A quiet colour, framed by an old motif.
