A natural, untreated Yemeni shajari agate cut as a large oval cabochon. The body is milky white with a bright polish, and from its lower centre a single black-brown dendrite rises with a trunk, a spreading crown and feathered edges: a tree standing alone on a pale field. Tree agates are judged by how clearly the branch reads, and this one reads at arm’s length.
The mount is sterling silver with gold accents. A gold-plated collar of overlapping leaf prongs reaches onto the stone, circled by a beaded rail and a row of small faceted black stones. The shoulders are pierced and split into two engraved wheat-ear bands, with black enamel panels bridged by a gold-plated bar, small silver domes, a black baguette and an engraved blossom at the shank.
One piece, one stone, sized about US 10.
