Chrysanthemum Red Yemeni Agate Ring

The stone is a natural, untreated Yemeni agate in orange-red, cut as a large high oval cabochon. It is translucent through the centre, so the core lights up amber-orange while the rim stays a deeper red. The surface is clean, without veins or bands.

The 925 sterling silver mount is heavily worked. A row of raised beads borders the polished bezel, and each shoulder is covered edge to edge with a many-petalled flower surrounded by radiating leaves in relief, the recesses darkened so every petal stands out.
