The stone is a large oval cabochon of natural, untreated white Yemeni agate. In its milky body one dark spot sits near the centre, fringed with fine dendritic growth, the single eye the Yemeni trade singles out from a thousand plain white stones. The dome is high and softly polished.
The bezel is plain and polished, edged with a line of beads. Each shoulder is cut in deep relief: a seated big cat rests beneath a palm whose fronds spread above it, with foliage around and a thin vine along the lower edge, the ground darkened so the figures stand forward.
One ring, one stone, made once.
