A large, well-domed oval of translucent Yemeni agate in a deep wine red, even and calm, with a faint purple depth.
Each shoulder carries a street of tower houses in silver relief: storey upon storey of small windows, crowned by the half-round fanlights known in Yemen as qamariya. The facades stand on a darkened ground within a border of fine granulation, a small portrait of Old Sana’a.
