The stone is a large oval cabochon of natural, untreated Yemeni agate with a high, glassy dome. Its body is a translucent milky white that shades to pale grey, and a single broad band of honey-amber curves through the lower half, edged by a fine white line, so the colour seems to move as the ring turns.
The 925 sterling silver mount keeps the bezel smooth and gives the shoulders the work: a curved sabre and a crescent blade in bright silver rise from a bed of oxidised dotwork inside a beaded border, and a five-pointed star is cut through the flank of the wide, polished shank.
A soft, light stone on a mount with a firm hand.
