A large oval of Yemeni agate of the kind the market calls Musawwar, a picture stone: cream and grey drifting into lavender, brown and amber, with dark moss-like patches. Every angle shows a different landscape.
It is held in a gold-plated crown of tall claws. Around the bezel runs a band of characters in Musnad, the ancient script of South Arabia, and on each shoulder a gold-plated eagle emblem is framed in red, white and black enamel, the colours of the Yemeni flag, with small orange and red accent stones and fine beaded granulation.
A ring that wears its origin openly.
