A large oval of translucent orange-red Yemeni agate, the warm carnelian colour that seems to hold light inside it.
The sterling silver shoulders are carved in relief: on each side a bird of prey among fern fronds and small blossoms, framed by a braided rope border and reeded columns, with a fine milgrain line around the bezel.
A ring with a sense of place, made to be looked at closely.
