A long oval of Yemeni agate in the dark, liver-toned red the market calls Kabdi. In soft light it reads almost black-red; held to the light, its edges warm to a clear red.
A plain polished bezel lets the stone lead. Beneath it, the gallery is engraved with scrolls, and each shoulder carries a five-petal flower with leaf fronds in darkened relief, narrowing into a band traced with leaves.
A dark stone softened by a garden of silver.
