The stone is a natural, untreated Yemeni agate of the kind the Sana’a trade calls Rummani, after the pomegranate: a translucent orange-red that lights up from within when it catches the lamp, with warm honey zones and a few fine red veins moving through the dome. It is cut as a tall oval cabochon with a clean, even polish.
Four gold-plated leaf claws fold over the stone and hold it above a bezel ringed with small faceted red stones and a milgrain border. The shoulders carry pierced wheat-ear engraving on a darkened ground, a baguette-cut orange-red stone, a gold-plated diagonal bar and burgundy enamel panels around an open flower cut-out, all in sterling silver with gold-plated accents.
A full, layered men’s ring built around a stone that rewards daylight.
