The stone is a natural, untreated Yemeni agate in the deep liver-red the trade calls Kabdi. It is cut as a broad oval with a low dome and a bevelled edge, so the colour reads as one unbroken field, dense at the centre and only slightly warmer toward the rim.
The sterling silver mount is worked in three materials. A gallery of gold-plated scrolls lifts the stone from a beaded rim; the shoulders are inlaid with dark-red enamel panels in a crown shape, a pear-cut red accent stone sits in a beaded surround with lines of smaller round red stones, and a large gold-plated scroll anchors each side before the engraved shank.
A full statement ring in which the gold, enamel and agate all share one red register.
