An oval of Yemeni agate in a warm red with a hint of brown, cut with a low dome. Inside, the soft, grainy texture of natural chalcedony gives the colour depth.
Around the smooth bezel runs an engraved laurel braid, then a line of dots. The shoulders are left as clean polished triangles, simply outlined in darkened dots, so the eye returns to the stone.
