The stone is a natural, untreated honey Yemeni agate, Asali in the trade: a translucent honey-orange that deepens toward the core, with a few dark red flecks caught inside, one of them a small teardrop near the centre and a fine dark vein running across the lower half. It is cut as a large oval cabochon with a bright polish.
A gold-plated halo of looped wire crowns the bezel, inside a milgrain ring of small faceted orange-red stones that alternate rounds with baguettes. The shoulders are fields of burgundy enamel with polished silver scrolls and a gold-plated calligraphic swash, resting on a beaded ground that runs down into a split, beaded sterling silver shank.
A warm, ornate men’s ring in silver and gold-plated accents.
