A large oval of Yemeni agate in two moods. At its centre a translucent orange-red window glows like lamplight, while around it a smoky grey-brown matrix gathers like dusk. A pale wavy edge draws the line between them. Stones with a scene like this are called Musawwar in Yemen.
The sterling silver bezel is kept plain. Each shoulder carries a domed mosque with twin minarets and an arched gate in raised relief, framed by scrollwork and fine beading.
Light from within, and a place of calm beside it.
