The stone is a natural, untreated Yemeni agate in a caramel brown of the honey family, with soft milky clouds near the ends that give it depth. It is cut as a large high oval cabochon and is semi-opaque, taking light at the edges rather than through the body.
The 925 sterling silver mount holds the stone with teardrop petal claws instead of a closed bezel. Below them the shoulders are built from clusters of teardrop petals forming a palmette, surrounded by rows of raised dots, and the shank carries a lattice pattern. Recesses are darkened so the dotwork reads clearly.
A richly worked ring in warm, earthy tones.
