A long oval of translucent Yemeni agate, honey and cream in tone, crossed by dark branching and smoky veils that run the length of the stone. The market calls this kind Shajari, for its tree-like growth.
The sterling silver mount answers with a tree of its own: a date palm on each shoulder, heavy with two clusters of fruit, set among fine scrolls. A scalloped collar and a row of squared beads frame the stone.
Palm and branch, in silver and in stone.
