The stone is a large, pale Yemeni agate with the soft translucency of milk glass. Two dark brown inclusions formed inside it, one trailing a rust-red fringe near the top, one rounder near the base, like two islets seen through shallow water. Natural and untreated; the picture is the stone’s own.
Two arms of hand-braided silver rope rise from the shoulders and wrap around the stone, meeting in a point on each side so the cabochon seems to float above its bezel. The shank carries two rows of the same braid, darkened in the recesses. Sterling silver 925.
A calm stone with a small landscape inside it.
