A white Yemeni agate, natural and untreated, cut as an oval cabochon. In the centre of the milky field sits a cluster of dark brown and black orbs, with a yellow-ochre streak beside it and one separate tan disc below, the kind of natural scene that reads as a bunch of berries on the vine and gives the stone its musawwar, or picture, character.
The bezel is plain with a beaded rim, leaving the shoulders to carry the ornament: a large rosette flower on each side with radiating petal and leaf fans, deeply engraved and oxidized so the pattern holds its depth.
One piece, one stone, no second copy.
