Herringbone Weave Red Yemeni Agate Ring

The stone is a natural, untreated Yemeni agate in a warm orange-red, cut as a long oval cabochon and translucent enough to glow when light passes through. A thin dark brown vein runs across the body with a shorter one near the tip: a natural feature of the stone, left as found.

The 925 sterling silver mount is built from wire rather than sheet. A braided rope wraps the bezel, and the band itself is a wide cylinder woven in a herringbone pattern from twisted strands, finished with twisted borders and darkened in the recesses so the weave reads clearly.
