The stone is a large oval cabochon of natural, untreated Yemeni agate, colourless to pale milky white and almost transparent under its high dome. Fine white needles fan upward through it from the lower edge like grass seen through ice, with a few small dark points held along them; the polish is clean and the dome rises well above the rim.
The 925 sterling silver mount keeps the bezel plain and gives the shoulders a hand-engraved garden: a cluster of five-petal blossoms with long leaf fronds curving above and below, the recesses oxidised, all inside a beaded border that runs along the shank.
A clear stone with a fine interior, framed by blossoms cut by hand.
