A large oval of milky, translucent Yemeni agate. Down one side runs a dark brown branch of moss-like growth, with small spots scattered beside it and a pale green patch near the edge, as if a garden had been caught in frost. Branching stones of this kind are known in the market as Shajari.
The sterling silver holds it in a smooth bezel with a beaded edge. Each shoulder is carved with a resting camel among palm fronds, leaves and trailing vines, the background darkened so the scene stands in relief.
An oasis on both sides, a garden in the stone.
