An oval of deep red Yemeni agate, cut with a low, gentle dome that shows the colour flat and full. In side light it takes on a warm, slightly brown glow.
The stone sits in a frame of thick braided silver wire. The band is the heart of this ring: wide, and woven all the way round in a basketweave of silver between two twisted rope edges.
