A large oval of dark wine-red Yemeni agate, the deep tone the market calls Kabdi, with red warmth gathering at its edges.
The sterling silver mount is the most substantial in the collection. Rows of square grid work frame the head, and the tall shoulders are covered in raised silver domes of different sizes, crossed by a braided band and a teardrop motif, ending in a stepped checker pattern at the base, all set against darkened recesses.
Built like a highland fortress, with a dark stone at its heart.
