Lion Mane Honey Yemeni Agate Ring

The stone is a large oval cabochon of natural, untreated Yemeni agate in the honey (Asali) range, leaning toward warm orange. Its face is softly clouded rather than flat, with a few fine dark-red veins at one edge and a small grey-green fleck that marks it as a one-off piece of the earth rather than a uniform slab.

A smooth bezel holds the stone, bordered by a raised dash-and-dot rail. The shoulders are the heart of the ring: a lion’s head with a full, flowing mane, hand-engraved in relief and surrounded by arabesque scrolls, with the recesses oxidised so every cut reads clearly. The silver is 925 sterling.
