A large oval of translucent grey-white Yemeni agate with a scene drawn by nature: a black form rising through the stone, a rust-brown ridge edged in white, and small dark trees standing on top of it. The Yemeni market calls stones like this Musawwar, the picture agate.
The sterling silver mount keeps the bezel plain so the scene reads clearly. Each shoulder carries a winged horse in raised relief above a leaf spray, set against a darkened ground and framed by brickwork that runs down the band.
Every picture agate tells a different story. This one is yours to read.
